You have more control and fun, and it helps you pick and play the right thing to listen to at the moment.

Stage
You curateSet where you're at with each album. It's a phase, and nothing lasts forever. That way both you and the app know whether you're actively listening to it and whether to suggest it.
Rate
You curateWe all know that some songs and albums are better than others, even if we like all of them. With progressive rating, you can express that. Better-rated albums are sorted first and likely suggested more.
Spotlight
You curateWant to listen to or see an album or song more often, regardless of its rating or stage? Spotlight it. For the opposite, there's cooldown. It helps you not overplay your current favorites and enjoy them for longer.
