The short version

Music for Now runs entirely on your iPhone. Your library, listening history, and ratings stay on your device. We don't operate any servers. There is no account to create. We do not track what you play.

What we access

When you grant Apple Music permission, Music for Now reads:

Your Apple Music library (albums, songs, artists)
Your favorites and recent listening history
Playback state, so we can start the right track

This data is read by the app on your device. It is not transmitted to us, because there is no "us" on the network — Music for Now has no backend.

What we store

The queue you build, the ratings you assign (good · great · best), and your preferences live in local app storage on your iPhone. If you uninstall the app, that data is removed by iOS.

What we don't do

No account creation, no email collection
No analytics tracking what you played, when, or how often
No advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs of that kind
No selling, sharing, or renting of anything (we have nothing to share)

Crash reports

If you opt in to Apple's standard crash reporting at the system level, Apple may forward anonymous crash logs to us so we can fix bugs. These do not include your library content. You can disable this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Children

Music for Now is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone of any age.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change anything material, we'll update this page and note the date above. We won't change the core promise — that your library data stays on your device.
